Support our Troops

Army Soldier Cutting GrassArmy soldier in Iraq with his tiny 'plot' of grass in front of his tent. It's heartwarming! Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq, stationed in a big sand box. He asked his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil), fertilizer, and some grass seed so that he can have the sweet aroma, and feel the grass grow beneath his feet. When the men of the squadron have a mission that they are going on, they take turns walking through the grass and the American soil -- to bring them good luck.

Operation We Care

"Operation We Care" asks for soccer balls, pumps and shoes. Americans soldiers brought the game to the Iraq children. The Iraq children have warned our military of insurgents, bombs, traps, etc., because of the soldiers’ generosity. Now Iraq children want to be just like our soldiers and wear sun- glasses. The soldiers have made a huge impact on the future of Iraq through the countries youth. The children are the future of Iraq. Our support will help with the outcome and the future for all.

The Eagle County Republican Women shipped 74 pair of cleats, 70 soccer balls, and 8 pumps to the soldiers in Iraq. We received this thank you from Kevin Wainwright:
I have received the boxes. The next unit will pass out the soccer balls. I now have my replacement contact info. You can mail everything to him. Thank you for all that you have done for us and for the Iraqis. You have made a positive impact on our morale.
